An adventure in the Hong Kong Science Museum

Our P.2 students paid a visit to the Hong Kong Science Museum.  Students were introduced to the application of technology in everyday life.  They all found the experiential exhibits and hands-on activities educational and fun!

Students were eager to learn about the structure of common home appliances.
Did you know maize is one of the most significant crops to humankind?
It was definitely a fruitful experience!

 

Reading is Fun

The English Alliance Typhoon Club Reading Card Programme was successfully held in early November. It certainly aroused students’ interesting in reading. Students were also encouraged to engage more deeply with texts for better understanding. Students were also invited to come back to school on Saturday to join a series of activities. Students not only got to revise the vocabulary they learnt in the reading session, but also created a story. It was definitely a fruitful and inspiring.

Be an Ocean Ambassador

Our P.3 students had an amazing sea animal adventure in early December. After studying about the features of different sea creatures in school, students got to explore the marine animals themselves in the aquarium. After that, they gathered all the information they had got and wrote an information report with their group members.

 

We all looked forward to our visit!
Let’s become the Ocean Ambassadors.
Touching the sea cucumber and starfish was definitely a unique experience!
Wasn’t it wonderful to have a lesson at the aquarium?
Everyone was thrilled to see the sea creatures from different angles.
We have learnt so much about the sea animals.

Rugby English Action Learning

The Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (Scolar) and the Rugby Union gave our students a golden opportunity to learn English through physical activities. Some of our P.5 students were invited to learn to play rugby with a native-English-speaking rugby coach. Students all had a blast and wish to play it again!

We are the Master Chef Juniors!

P.4 students were gathered for a hands-on pizza making experience at Pizza Express. Students followed step-by-step directions to make the most delicious pizza. They all let their creativity go wild when they were decorating their pizzas.

Visiting the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens

Our P.1 students spent a relaxing day at the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. The characteristics of different animals were learnt by viewing the lively animals. These real animals help students connect to the real world and inspire them to want to learn more.

The English Week

The English Week was successfully held in late June. Students were invited to participate in different interactive and communicative games and activities hosted by our native-speaking English teachers. Students were highly motivated as the activities were amusing and challenging. They all had a great time in the English Week.

Our native-speaking English teachers combined some physical activities with English for an epic programme.
The story shared by the native-speaking English teacher definitely boosted our imagination and creativity.
